YES Bank shares continue to tumble, drop nearly 10%: Shares of  YES BankNSE -9.40 %  continued to fall for the second session Friday, falling sharply by nearly 10 percent to hit its one-year low.  Despite positive opening, the stock failed to hold on to the gains and later cracked 9.22 percent to Rs 184.45 - its 52- week low - on BSE.   On  NSE , shares of the company dropped 9.64 percent to hit a one-year low of Rs 183.65.  Shares of  YES Bank  witnessed massive selling pressure Thursday also tumbling by over 9 percent. Share market update: HPCL, GAIL, RIL keep BSE Oil & Gas index in the green

IL&FS group stocks back in the green, jump up to 12%

NEW DELHI:                                                 Shares of IL&FS group of companies got a fresh lease of life on Tuesday after LIC said that it won't let IL&FS collapse. Shares of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company jumped 12.02 percent, while IL&FS Transportation Networks clocked a gain of 5.74 percent on BSE. Shares of IL&FS Investment Managers (down 0.13 percent) settled almost flat. LIC, which holds over 25 percent stake in IL&FS said that all options were open and assured that it would take all possible steps to avoid contagion spreading to the market.  ET Now reported LIC chairman VK Sharma as saying that they will ensure that IL&FS does not collapse . KOCHI:                                                   The rubber products industry, both tire, and non-tire are feeling the pinch of soaring prices of several forms of synthetic rubber prices even as it is grappling with a natural rubber shortage in the domestic market.  India is totally dependent on the import of several varieties of synthetic rubber (SR) l, the use of which has gone up in a tire and non-tire sectors.  “Certain forms of SR like solution SBR, chlorobutyl and bromobutyl are exclusively imported. The products have become dear and the rupee depreciation has increased the import cost further, putting pressure on our margins,” said Ashish Pandey, vice-president, materials of JK Tyres .  “ High performing tires use more SR,” he said, adding that the hopes of the tire industry for better performance in the second half of the year were dashed by the Kerala floods, rupee fall and oil price hike.  The tire industry is already grappling with a shortage of natu

Share market update: Nifty Realty pack slips over 1%; Godrej Properties, IB Real Estate weigh  N EW  D ELHI:   Strong losses in shares of Godrej Properties  (down 5.82 percent) , Indiabulls Real Estate (down 3.27 percent) and Housing Development & Infrastructure (HDIL) (down 1.95 percent) dragged realty pack down in Friday's session.  The  Nifty Realty index  was trading 1.22 percent down at 255 around 12:33 pm.  Shares of Sobha (down 0.77 percent), Brigade Enterprises (down 0.72 percent),  Oberoi Realty (down 0.66 percent) and DLF (down 0.57 percent) too were  However,  Unitech (up 1.64 percent) , Phoenix Mills (up 1.36 percent) and Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.09 percent) were up at that time.  Positive global cues and rupee's recovery against the  US dollar  gave a boost to sentiment at home.  Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 51 points at 11,286, while the BSE Sensex was up 203 points at 37,324.  Among the  50 stocks in the Nifty index , 35 were trading in the g

F & O :  N ifty50  c an  s lip  t owards 11,171  i f   i t  h olds  b elow 11,333 : NSE benchmark  Nifty  continued its weakness for a third consecutive session and corrected towards 11,200 level, as it failed to surpass the immediate hurdle at 11,333.  The index formed a pattern similar to Three Black Crows and made a  lower high lower low  on the daily scale, which indicates that bears are having a tight grip on the market.  On the  options front,  maximum Put open interest is at 11,200 followed by 11,000 strikes, while maximum Call OI is at 11,500 then 11,400 strikes. We have seen Call writing at 11,300 followed by 11,400 strikes, while Put unwinding is seen at all immediate strikes.  India VIX fell down by 2.88 percent to 14.  Bank Nifty continued its weakness and remained highly volatile on its weekly expiry session and corrected towards 26,250 . It has been forming lower high lower low from the last three sessions and is trading 100 points away from its crucial
